Choose paper by its intended contact and use. Packaging tissue and food wrapping paper may look similar, but their specifications serve different purposes.
Your specification. Your artwork. A clear quotation.

Practical guidance
Packaging tissue is commonly used around garments, gifts and retail products to organise the presentation and add a printed brand detail. Food wrapping paper must be specified for the food and conditions it will contact. Do not treat a decorative tissue sheet as suitable for direct food contact without the appropriate confirmation.
Tell us whether the sheet touches the product directly, lines another container or acts as an outer decorative layer. That distinction changes the brief.

Choose a tissue sheet around the product dimensions and the way it is folded. Consider base colour, print coverage and whether a repeating logo or a more open pattern suits the brand. If the product is pale, delicate or sensitive to rubbing, discuss compatibility and test the proposed construction.
The tissue page on this website covers packaging and wrapping tissue. Restaurant napkins, facial tissues and tissue boxes are separate products and are not part of that range.
For a food wrapping enquiry, describe the food, grease or moisture exposure, contact temperature and expected duration. Hot food, refrigerated items and frozen products can require different specifications. A familiar trade name does not replace those details.
Ask for the information relevant to the proposed material, including its intended food-contact use. Avoid extending a claim from one stock or printed construction to another without confirmation.
Different treatments and constructions can create different barriers and handling characteristics. A grease-resistant sheet and a wax-coated wrap should not be assumed to behave identically. Explain the result you need rather than relying only on the broad product name.
If you already use a paper successfully, send its specification or a reference sample. That gives the discussion a firmer basis than colour or thickness alone.
Provide sheet dimensions, quantity and printing requirements alongside the use conditions. State whether the size is the finished cut sheet and whether several artwork versions are needed. Ask for the material and construction to be identified in the quotation.
If environmental performance is important, request the relevant evidence for the actual supplied product. Coatings, inks and local collection arrangements can affect end-of-life claims, so keep the wording specific and supportable.
